ERTU takes back their graphics control
The Egyptian Radio and Television Union recently undertook an installation designed to provide complete control of its news graphics and on-air branding.

For many years the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU) had outsourced their news graphics to third-party graphics suppliers, like many other television networks worldwide. But due to a lack of flexibility they recently took back control and reintegrated the graphics creation for their brand new news-room, Studio 11.
To achieve this, ERTU utilizes the Miranda X3D engines, which are based on the 3D realtime software Ventuz. But not only on-air-graphics and channel-branding are run by the X3D processors. Studio 11 incorporates a 17x3 cube wall that is driven by the Ventuz-based technology. The wall mainly displays live video input and can be fully synchronized or used in four individual sections.

Thus, ERTU is gaining back full control over their complete 3D graphics and channel-branding. Journalists and operators have stated that the processes are much more efficient and the quality of the graphics could be highly increased.
