The television network Kanal 75 is owned by ATG, a Swedish horse-betting company, with about 35 racetracks and 2,200 own off-track betting centers in Sweden. Kanal 75 is the media house of horse racing. It produces live racing video via its own satellite TV service to off-track betting centers in Sweden, USA, Australia and 10 other countries around the globe. Kanal 75 also has a large archive of horse racing pictures and produce daily editorial news about horse racing. Kanal 75 is producing TV through the public broadcaster TV4 and TV4 Sport and TV for internet and other services.

Since June 2010, Kanal 75 has been using Ventuz for their main Saturday show Vinnare V75. It was their first time to use a 3D graphics engine, and they truly explored the third dimension, using shiny effect and glass materials with extruded text.

The second show to use Ventuz is the new Lunchtravet Direkt which premiered on January 3rd 2011. This is a live show of 1h 30min which airs every day at noon. Here Ventuz is driving on-air graphics as well as a video-wall of 4x4 46” LCD screens as well as a 103” Plasma touch screen. These two areas are used by the presenters to give the viewers the latest information and to emphasize what the host and expert say.

“We have chosen Ventuz as a platform for broadcast graphics because it was the best solution to integrate with our control system Radix”, says Sam Eklund of Kanal 75. “Also the licensing model of Ventuz is superior to any other tool on this market. We had full functionality from the very beginning without the need to purchase any extras. The price-performance-ratio is excellent.”

For 2011 Kanal 75 is planning to switch all character generators to Ventuz as a part of bringing their production environment to full HD. Additionally, a number of new shows are to be launched using Ventuz.
